- All camps are Coed unless otherwise stated
- All camps cost $199 + GST
- Every camper will receive a WVBC t-shirt or WVBC Basketball
Summer Camps Offered in 2025
Future Hoopsters (Boys/Girls entering Grades 2-4)
The WVBC Boys and Girls Future Hoopsters program introduces basketball through fun, active training and develops general movement skills essential to basketball success. Skills taught include: getting open, passing under pressure, basic offense and defense principles, ball handling, pivoting, passing, lay-ups and shooting. These skills will be developed through a variety of small-sided games and competitions, which ensure action and fun for everyone. Your child will surely fall in love with basketball after attending this high energy, fun-filled week! Open to boys and girls in every session!
SESSION 1: July 14-18 (9:00am-11:00am)

FUN-damental Camps (Boys/Girls entering Grades 4-6)
WVBC FUN-damentals program balances the introduction of basketball specific skills with fun contests and competitions. The foundational skills emphasized include: shooting mechanics, attacking moves and finishing, dribbling skills, moving without the ball, and decision-making. Each young athlete is sure to improve their game while participating in a fun and encouraging environment. Open to boys and girls in every session! Note: more experienced Grade 4 students should join these camps instead of the Future Hoopsters Camps.

Development Camps (Boys/Girls entering Grades 7/8)
WVBC Development Camps will introduce higher-level skill development, while stressing the importance of the basic fundamentals of the game. Areas of focus will include: dribble moves into shot, defensive footwork, development of the ‘off’ hand, advanced ball handling, speed and agility training and basketball conditioning. This will be a perfect opportunity for players to hone their skills in preparation for club tryouts in the fall or the upcoming high school season. Open to boys and girls in every session!

High School Prep Camp (Boys/Girls entering Grades 8-10)
The WVBC High School Prep Camps are designed for players who are hoping to improve their game in the off season. It is intended for players who have had previous experience playing the game and the skills and concepts taught will reflect this. The High School Prep Camp will focus on more advanced individual skill development including shooting, footwork, finishing moves, weak hand development, etc… Basketball strength and conditioning exercises will also be interspersed throughout the week. Working alongside other highly motivated campers, each player will be sure to improve their game while participating in this competitive and fun environment.
SESSION 1: July 21-25 (1:30pm-3:30pm)
Shooting Camp (Boys/Girls entering Grades 7-10)
Returning this summer is a camp that is completely devoted to shooting! Players will definitely leave this camp feeling more confident about their shot in preparation for the upcoming club or high school tryouts. Areas covered will include: shot mechanics, form shooting, shooting off the dribble, shooting on the move, using screens to get open, mid-range shooting and developing 3-point range. The players will compete in a number of individual and team shooting completions throughout the week in a fun-filled environment.
